Theft Alert!

There is a gentlemen that has been targeting several antique shops in our area.  Here is a list of antique shops along with some of the items stolen.

The police are focusing their attention on one gentleman who was last seen driving a bright red, older model Chevy pick-up truck with Arkansas plates.

If you have any information, you can contact any one of the three police departments listed above. This person has no fear against cameras, as he has been caught looking right into the video surveillance cameras.

Milwaukee Welcomes Return of Flea Market

The fleas are coming back to the State Fair Park in Milwaukee Wisconsin.  The flea markets will be returning on June 16th and 17th, and will be conducted by Zurko’s Midwest Promotions.  Zurko’s is a promoter of Antique and Flea Markets throughout the entire Midwest.

 There will be too many items to list that will be up for sale.  New, old, unique, and antique they will have them all!

The Flea Markets will be held regardless of what the weather decides to do being that the vendors will be in tents and barns to keep their items safe from the elements.  The hours of operation are Saturday June 16th from 12pm to 5pm and Sunday June 17th from 8am to 4pm. 

Admission is $4.oo, and children 12 and under get in for free.  See you at the Flea Market!

Milwaukee “Open Air” Paintings up for Auction

Paintings en plein air, French for “in the open air” will be created, exhibited, and sold via silent auction on Saturday and Sunday at 2567 North Downer Avenue in Milwaukee (slightly north of the Harry W. Schwartz Bookshop). 

There will be nearly sixty artists participating, with the silent auction occurring between 10 and 4 pm Saturday afternoon.  All of the paintings that are not sold at this time will be sold on Sunday.  There will also be a reception taking place from 4:30 to 6 pm on Sunday at Cafe’ Hollander, which is located at 2608 North Downer Avenue. 

The event is sponsored by merchants along Downer and will be presented by the League of Milwaukee Artists and sponsored by merchants along Downer.
