Items from the Titanic up for Auction

Recovered artifacts from the Titanic along with several other ocean liner memorabilia are being prepared for auction this week.

According to Christie’s, the deck log of the SS MacKay-Bennett - a rescue ship that showed up when the Titanic had sank, is most likely the most significant rescue ship artifact ever offered for sale.

Experts are saying that the log’s likely value is between 30 and $40,000.

Another extremely hot item is that of the Titanic’s first=class passenger list.  This list contains many prominent New York family names…Astors, Guggenheims, and Strauses just to name a few.  Auction officials expect the list to sell for 15 to $20,000.
