Eau Claire Farm Show Auction to Benefit FFA

Eau Claire Farm Show Auction to Benefit FFA

PDF Print E-mail

EAU CLAIRE - The Wisconsin FFA Foundation will be the beneficiary of a live auction March 4 at the Eau Claire Farm Show.

The auction will begin at noon at the Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center, part of the 46th Eau Claire Farm Show co-sponsored by North Country Enterprises and The Country Today.

The auction will feature a variety of items, mostly donated by Eau Claire Farm Show exhibitors. Doug Ferris of Ferris Auction and Realty of Chetek will call the auction. All proceeds will go to the Wisconsin FFA Foundation.

The FFA auction originated at The Country Today Farm and Home Show in Menomonie in 2000, and was moved to Eau Claire in 2003, when the Menomonie and Eau Claire farm shows merged. The auctions have raised more than $25,000 for Wisconsin FFA programs.

The Country Today Editor Jim Massey said the Wisconsin FFA Foundation is an ideal beneficiary of the money raised by the auction.

An up-to-date list of auction items will appear in The Country Today closer to the auction date. Items sold in the past include clothing, toy farm implements, food, event tickets and many others.

Wisconsin FFA officers will help clerk and sell the auction items.

The farm show will be 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 3 and 4, with free admission and parking. The Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center is on Craig Road near Interstate 94 and Highway 3 7/85.
